ArtsBuild Ontario (ABO) and our partners at WorkInCulture (WIC) are very excited to announce we are now taking applications for the 2017-2018 iteration of our popular Arts Facilities Mentoring Network! The 2016 program has launched with full registration and we are excited to offer this opportunity to another 20 mentoring pairs!
Through the Arts Facilities Mentoring Network, leaders in Ontario’s nonprofit arts community who are responsible for their facilities or capital related issues will have access to one-to-one learning with an experienced professional with knowledge and expertise related to their facility projects.
HOW IT WORKS
ArtsBuild and WorkInCulture will match cultural leaders from around Ontario with experienced mentors based on the projects, plans and challenges identified in their application. Mentoring teams will meet in person or remotely for up to three hours a month for twelve months. The mentoring team discussions are confidential and will focus on particular challenges and skills identified by the mentoree at the beginning of the partnership.
To ensure the program is successful for all participants, ABO and WIC will periodically check-in with participants over a brief phone call throughout the year.
“As a participant in the Arts Facilities Mentoring Network I was delighted to be partnered with Janna Levitt of LGA Architectural Partners. Janna is such a generous and brilliant individual, incredibly plugged in and able to offer high-quality, informed advice and referrals to help us meet our goals. The chance to network with the other mentor/mentee participants and to participate in relevant educational programming allowed me to grow and learn very much. Thank you to ArtsBuild Ontario and WorkInCulture for offering this incredible opportunity to the arts community.”
