Northern Lights Festival Boréal Unveils New Live-Sessions Series!

NLFB is very excited to partner with Sudbury.com in order to premiere their brand new live-session series, aptly named “NLFB Office Sessions”. The videos can be viewed online at sudbury.com.

The aim of the series is to showcase a number of local and out-of-town musicians who either have or will be soon performing at the festival. Murder Murder, Mandala, and Ben Sures are only a few of the names you can expect to see taking part in the series. All of the videos are being filmed at the NLFB Office on 19 Grey Street, so maybe drop by sometime and catch an intimate performance.

The project is being spearheaded by Shawn Kosmerly, NLFB’s Marketing and Communications Co-ordinator. “Having such a diverse and talented history of performers at the festival, it’s only natural to want to try and showcase some of them,” Kosmerly mentioned.

Today marks the release of the first video and will feature last-year’s performer, Josh Turnbull. With Turnbull’s rich history of performing in and outside of the city, NLFB couldn’t think of anyone better to help start off this new project. Please enjoy as Turnbull performs the moody and somber “Record Player” and the upbeat, foot-stomping “I Should Be Sleeping”.

The videos are to be released throughout the following months leading up to NLFB 46. Stay tuned and get those toes ready for a-tappin’.
